Q: Who is eligible to register a domain name during the General Registration period?
A: Any individual or organisation who agrees to the terms and conditions of the dotMobi accredited registrar of the mTLD may register a .mobi domain name during General Registration.
Q: Will the domain names registered during the General Registration period be available for review by the general public?
A: Yes, the domain names registered during this period will be available for review by the public through the WHOIS service.
A: WHOIS is a central database that tracks all domain name registrations. Each domain name registrar typically maintains its own version of a WHOIS database. The domain names will be available via the dotMobi WHOIS database which will be available soon.
Q: Can a domain name registered during the General Registration period be challenged?
A: Yes, for challenges involving domain names registered during General Registration –Use the ICANN Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy. For details see ICANN's Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP).

Q: What are the registration terms for domains names registered during General Registration?
A: Domain names registered during General Registration must be registered for a minimum of one year, and may be registered for up to a maximum of ten years.
Q: When can I transfer a domain registered during the General Registration period?
A: A dotMobi domain name registered during the General Registration period can be transferred between dotMobi accredited registrars beginning 60 days after the date of initial registration.
